Exxon's profit

Here's a thought that is sure to make you feel good while you're shelling out $2.89 per gallon at your favorite gas station.

Exxon Mobil Corp. said today that it earned a profit of $10.36 BILLION during its second quarter.

That's one quarter, folks. Three months. Roughly 90 days.

Some quick math shows the company made a profit of $115.1 million per day.

Some more quick math shows that Exxon's quarterly profit -- evenly divided -- would give each of Erie County's estimated 106,507 households a cool $97,270.

And did I mention that was only one QUARTER worth of business?
