Your pink slip -- delivered through e-mail

Classy move this week by Radio Shack.

An Associated Press story reports the electronics retailer sent out layoff notices to about 400 employees this week through their e-mails.

No meeting with a manager. No handshake. No personal thank you.

According to the story, workers affected by the cutbacks got messages saying: "The work force reduction notification is currently in progress. Unfortunately your position is one that has been eliminated."

Looks to me like a new low point in the downsizing of America.
