The start of slots

The state's eyes are on Plains Township, where the first legalized gambling operation in Pennsylvania opens today.

Of course, the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs will be watched closely here in Erie County -- the home of the under-construction Presque Isle Downs horse racing track and slots casino.

We'll be watching closely to see whether the first slots parlor lives up to the hype.
