A lot of Inside Erie readers have written me to protest the city of Erie's decision to sell Erie Golf Club.

Well, according to this morning's Erie Times-News, there's a clause in the property's deed that restricts the sale of the course.

That could block the sale -- though I'm not sold on the idea that the city should be in the business of running golf courses when it has a hard enough time plowing its streets.
