Floating home, anyone?

Don't think you can afford property on Lake Erie?

A marina owner in Toledo, Ohio, thinks he has a low-cost answer.

According to the Toledo Blade, the businessman is trying to combat a decline in business by building a community of floating homes in Lake Erie.

If the idea, ahem, holds water, it could catch on in other lakefront cities.

It might be an attraction to retirees looking to split their summers between Erie and Florida -- or avid water lovers who don't mind the cold winter winds that blow across the lake.
