Backing Barack Obama

Talk about your good timing.

Local supporters of presidential candidate Barack Obama will meet Wednesday night at The Brewerie at Union Station to organize for the Pennsylvania primary campaign. Getting signatures on nominating petitions for the April 22 primary ballot is one order of business.

Obama won the Democratic caucus in Iowa, of course, and was leading today in the polls to take New Hampshire among the Democrats field.

Mark Adams, 45, volunteer petition drive coordinator for Erie County, shouldn’t have trouble drumming up interest with the momentum swinging to Obama. Everybody loves a winner.
