Erie residents in Ohio for Obama

The local group of organized supporters for Barack Obama aren’t getting together tonight in Erie to watch the results from Ohio and Texas.

Andre Horton, volunteer chairman of the Obama grass-roots movement, said about six people on the steering committee are in Ohio today campaigning for Obama.

Horton said he stayed behind in Erie as he works with the Obama campaign to open a field office in Erie. “We’re hoping to open before the end of the week,’’ he said.

The office would be centrally located in downtown Erie, he said.

Obama wasn't the only one who had Erie supporters in Ohio. A crew of Ron Paul supporters was there as well. Don't count out Paul just yet. McCain doesn't have any where near enough pledged delegates to win on the first ballot.
