First things first

Barack Obama was the last of the candidates to give his speech before supporters tonight.

But as Obama spoke in San Antonio, the race in Texas was too close to call. And it may not be known for some time.

Yet even with his loss in Ohio, Obama will still hold the overall lead in pledged delegates -- even if he loses a close one in Texas.

Obama spoke as if he would be the Democratic nominee against John McCain, and Hillary Clinton gave every impression in her speech that she would be the one.

But first things first. The road to the Democratic nomination in Denver is going through Pennsylvania.
