Nearly 300 people attended the official opening for Hillary Rodham Clinton's local headquarters at the West Erie Plaza.

Among those who gave remarks were Erie Mayor Joe Sinnott, County Executive Mark DiVecchio and Erie City Councilwoman Rubye Jenkins-Husband. Also, two delegate candidates who are pledged to Clinton -- Judy Lynch, the former county executive, and Gayle Wright, a former city councilwoman and former state House member, spoke at the gathering.

More than 200 people signed up as volunteers for the campaign, said Kamyl Bazbaz, the Erie press secretary for the campaign.

Bazbaz said the strong showing demonstrates that Erie supporters believe in Clinton.

To Whom It May Concern:

Edinboro University's slogan is "Great Things Happen Here", and I believe they do. My name is Brad M. Cochran, I am pursuing a degree in Sociology at Edinboro University, where I have been enrolled since 2004. I am representing not only my University, and have full support of the Sociology Club, Social work. There is a group of committed individuals here that wish to make a historical movement, and Edinboro University prides itself on a quality education at an affordable price, and as Senator Clinton can testify, in this day and age; education is not only the key, but the salvation of the masses. Edinboro has a large differently-abled student body as well as many non-traditional students, I feel that this community is a prime example of the types of individuals that Senator Clinton speaks for. Seeing as how Pennsylvania is a crucial state in the Primary, we cordially invite Senator Clinton to please enthrall, enlighten, and excite this student body and the surrounding communities. Thank You.

Dear Brad,

I enjoyed your letter and know that Hillary Clinton would do an outstanding job explaining her well thought out policies to your group. Like voters in other states, we hope PA voters will join us to vote for Hillary on April 22, 2008. It is so refreshing to see you college students be so involved and interested in the future of America. Go Hillary!

Janet:

Dear Brad:

It is the young folks such as yourself who are the backbone of our country and Senator Clinton needs you.
Your Governor, Your Mayor and Rep. John Murtha are big supporters of Senator Clinton. It is too bad tht the young Senator chose to Endorse Senator Obama when it appears to me the folks of Pennsylvania pretty much support Senator Clinton.
Keep up your good work and help Senator Clinton win Pennsylvania.

Thanks,
Janet

dear brad thank you! thank you! thank you! you have no idea how awesome it is to hear a young person who actually is takeing the time to really investigate and make an informed decision. many others of your generation are way to easy lead down the garden path. senator obama called himself a bonehead in reference to haveing finacial dealings with resko weeks after he had been publicly accused or indited then even worse in my opion is for 20 years to affiliate yourself with a pastor and church that cheered when the pastor took GOD's name in vain and cursed the very nation he wants to lead. at the very least i would call that bone headed and at worst well you fill in the blanks. we do not need another bonehead to run this country.

Dana:

Dear Brad,

Thank you for taking the time to write your letter in support of Senator Clinton. I am very proud to see how many young people are expressing their well-informed views on the state of our country and our need for a president who will stand up and fight for us! Hillary is, without a doubt, the right choice -- she's a go-getter and certainly the strongest fighter of the three...there is no doubt about that!! We need her toughness to get us through these difficult and challenging times!

We're behind you all the way Hillary!!

I was at the Erie opening and will be traveling to see Sen. Clinton at MercyHurst tomorrow.
The staff and volunteers at the Erie office are to be commended for their dedication, hard work and professionalism.

Dear Mrs. Hillary Clinton:
Re: John McClain:

If John McClain Wants to Occupy Iraq he may have to reintroduce the Draft since the present Army will be unable to handle Americas Military Commitment.
What would China and The Soviets Union have to say if he goes that way?

The School Drop outs and Bullies could provide a nice pool for the Army or could be forced into a work Camp doing something useful for a change.

I wrote two E-mails before; giving you some Ideas. I don't know if you found them useful. One about Medical and one about low cost Housing.

Truly Yours
Erwin Schulz

In 2005 HRC lobbied to allow a tire to energy test burn for International Paper Co. in Ticonderoga New York. The test burn was so polluting that IP stopped incineration after only three days. HRC allowed this burn because she was up for re-election and was backed by IP. Yikes!
