Some college kids are smart -- and some are smarter.
Emily Neder, 19, a freshman at Mercyhurst College, knew she had a long wait in line and a long wait inside the Mercyhurst Athletic Center before Hillary Rodham Clinton's rally.
So she brought along a book, "One Man's Justice,'' for her World Classics class. She had to read 80 pages for a quiz today. She had been waiting in line outside since 2:30 p.m., and got into the building about three hours later.
I saw other students, including some of Neder's friends, with books as well. Three of Neder's friends got in line at 2 p.m. Clinton didn't start speaking until just after 8 p.m.
Neder, by the way, is a Republican who said she was undecided about her choice for president. "I'm here to get her view on different aspects of the election,'' she said before the speech.
She was also there to study.
Clinton's test will come April 22.
