Clinton: Alternative energy is the future

Clinton said that the future of American industry could lie in new, alternative forms of energy.

First on her list was wind power, and proposed that we use the winds blowing off of Lake Erie to start, which would create jobs in the area. She also mentioned solar and methane power, citing some successes in those fields.

She said that she would create an alternative energy subsidy to encourage the new forms of energy and new jobs, using subsidies now given to oil companies.

The crowd met all the suggestions with cheers and applause, including mentions of tackling global climate change -- also called global warming.
