John Dombrowski, 46, of McKean holds anti-abortion signs along East 38th Street in Erie prior to Hillary Clinton's address at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center at Mercyhurst College on April 1.

There was more than one line outside the Mercyhurst Athletic Center this evening,

Protesters lined up shoulder-to-shoulder on the south side of East 38th Street near the college's main gate.

About 50 people of all ages were at the protest, many carrying anti-Hillary and anti-abortion signs. Some were affiliated with local anti-abortion groups.

"When you believe in something it doesn't matter it's cold or below zero or your hands are freezing off -- if it's important, you stand up for it," said 15-year-old Matthew Moyer of Cambridge Springs, who was among the protesters.
