Security similar to airport measures

Tim Baumbach, of Harborcreek, just told us that getting through security wasn't too difficult.

The general public has to go through metal detectors, show Secret Service officers their cell phones and empty their pockets, he said.

As people walk through the metal detectors, Secret Service officers are having them discard lip balm, collapsible umbrellas and any liquids or gels.

"It was basically like airport security," said Melissa Gyure of Harborcreek, who was standing with Baumbach.

Then again, they were some of the first people in the door. There are only three metal detectors at the front door and, overall, the gym here seems to be filling rather slowly.

The average time to get through the metal detectors is about 15 seconds.
