After whirlwind Pennsylvania campaign tours by both Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama, today was quiet in Erie and most of the rest of the state for the leading presidential candidates.
Clinton was scheduled to attend a fundraiser in California, while Obama had no events scheduled. Obama will make it out West on Sunday, when he will raise campaign cash during four fundraisers in California, the Associated Press reports.
John McCain, meanwhile, planned a speech today in Jacksonville, Fla.
Clinton's family was busy today in Pennsylvania. Former President Bill Clinton campaigned in Altoona, and the Clintons' daughter, Chelsea, planned stops in Hershey, Lewisburg, Bloomsburg and King of Prussia.
For our area, I think this is the calm before the storm.
