Words from the crowd

Videographer Matt Mead and I spent most of our time outside during the security sweep talking to some of the folks in line -- the line, by the way, was about three people wide and 300 yards long, at least.

Kyle Catanzarite, 55, of Wexford, Pa., made the trip up today because she said she wants to be informed about Clinton's policies before she votes. Both her and her husband aren't decided yet. Of particular interest to them is Clinton's health care plans -- Kyle said she recently had to leave retirement and return to work to make ends meet.

Jerrod Markle, a junior here and Mercyhurst and a columnist for the school's newspaper, said he's likely going to vote for Ron Paul regardless of what he hears here tonight. He wants to ask Clinton about her campaign finance history.

Katya Alaro, of Erie, brought her young daughters out tonight because they wanted to come more than she did. The girls, both under 10 years old, said they are much more political than she is. They've even created a pro-Clinton dance, where they cheer for "Go Hillary," and then say "Boo, Obama."
