Former Vice President Al Gore endorsed Sen. Barack Obama today, then appeared with him tonight during what the Associated Press described as a raucous rally at Joe Lewis Arena in Detroit.
Gore's speech was part endorsement, part blistering criticism of President George W. Bush's policies and actions, according to AP.
Gore went up against Bush in the 2000 presidential election -- the controversial one when the world heard about hanging and dimpled chads on punch-card ballots in Florida.
