It's Palin


It's official. In a huge surprise, Sen. John McCain has picked Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate.

I'll be busy today getting local reaction to the pick.

I couldn't imagine it was possible - of the 15-20 names we heard as potential VP nominees, Lefty McCain chose the ONE candidate more socialist than he is.

I think there needs to be a 3rd party - for Conservatives. The Republican party has become the party of pork barrel spending and socialist government involvement. I'm still a conservative, but there aren't any political parties that represent conservatives any more.

How terribly sad.
