As expected, Sen. Barack Obama came out on stage to greet his running mate, Sen. Joe Biden, and say a few words.
Viewers could see Obama mouth the words, "Great speech.''
Obama said he wanted everyone to know why he is proud to have Biden and his family go with him on "this journey to take America back.''
And he recapped some of the week's highlights for Democrats.
Obama said his wife, Michelle Obama, gave a great speech Monday night.
"If I'm not mistaken, Hillary Clinton rocked the house last night,'' Obama said.
And he said, former President Bill Clinton "reminded us what it's lilke when you have a
president who actually puts people first.''
Thursday night, Obama will formally accept his party's nomination at the football stadium where the NFL's Denver Broncos play.
The much larger venue, about 76,000 seats compared to about 20,000 at the Pepsi Center, will give more people a chance to watch Obama's acceptance speech.
One final note before I sign off for the night: I just caught a glimpse of Erie City Councilwoman Rubye Jenkins-Husband, an appointed delegate, on TV near the CNN stage on the convention floor.
