GMA touts Erie

The "Good Morning America'' news team of Diane Sawyer, Robin Roberts, Chris Cuomo and Sam Champion were at Union Station for less than 30 minutes on Tuesday.

But Erie's civic and community leaders should have no complaints after watching the GMA report this morning, just after 7 a.m.

The report put Erie in a positive light, saying that the community -- while suffering manufacturing losses -- is making the transition to a tourism economy.

The broadcast included a daytime aerial view of Erie's bayfront and a beach shot of a sunset at Presque Isle State Park.

GMA is on a whistle-stop train tour this week to hear the concerns of voters in this presidential election season.
