We want your questions for the first debate

The election team at the Erie Times-News and GoErie.com would like your help in shaping our analysis of the first presidential debate, set for Sept. 26 from 9 to 10:30 p.m.

The debate is about foreign policy and national security issues.

What would you like to hear from Sen. John McCain and Sen. Barack Obama? What issues might influence your vote?

Fifteen minutes after the debate, your questions and concerns could be addressed during a live streaming video program on our Web site.

Submit your questions in advance, so that we can use some of them on the program and find out whether the candidates talked about what's important to you.

Remember, please submit national security and foreign policy questions. The candidates will debate domestic issues on Oct. 15.

I'll be on the team, as will veteran reporter Kevin Flowers and Managing Editor Pat Howard.

I have an early question. Why did the Commission on Presidential Debates schedule this for a Friday night? Just asking.
