Palin to visit

Wow, some people would say it's about time -- one of the candidates on the presidential ticket is coming to Erie.

As you might have heard, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will campaign in Erie on Thursday -- with time and place to be announced.

We haven't seen the presidential or vice presidential candidates during the general election, other than for Sen. John McCain's town-hall forum at GE Transportation on Aug. 11. But even that event wasn't open to the public.

Palin is expected to hold a public rally and she should draw a good crowd.

MikeC:

It might be interesting to find out which local tv stations will be covering the Palin rally live, and if not why. It might be the same reason some local newscasts feel a little shorter these days.
