Ridge, Swann rally for McCain

Here's a reminder:

Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge and Lynn Swann, the former Pittsburgh Steelers great, will campaign at 9 a.m. today in West Perry Square on behalf of Sen. John McCain and his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Swann ran for governor in 2006, but lost to Gov. Ed Rendell.

Since McCain visited Erie in August, we haven't had much action here from the candidates or their surrogates. Maybe this is the start of something.
