Until about one week ago, the Erie region hadn't seen much in the way of visits from candidates or their surrogates during the fall presidential campaign.
But that's changed quite a bit.
Last week, Gov. Ed Rendell, Ted Kennedy Jr., and former Sen. Tom Daschle all campaigned in Erie on behalf of the Democratic ticket of Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Joe Biden.
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, of course, held a huge rally at the Bayfront Convention Center last Thursday. Palin was joined on the stage by former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge.
And now today, former President Bill Clinton will campaign at McDowell Intermediate High School for Obama-Biden. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.
And Mitt Romney, the former GOP presidential candidate and former Massachusetts
governor, will campaign today at GOP headquarters for Sen. John McCain and Palin. That event starts at 2:45 p.m.
Both are open to the public.
It all ends tomorrow, when you get your say with your vote.

For those of you who believe that a vote for Obama would improve your lives, please consider his statement about the coal industry (see link). Obama has promised that his administration would bankrupt this industry (causing electricity prices to increase greatly). Consider the implications and please do not support him in this–it would cost me my job, and would raise the cost of electricity for all of us.
