Super No. 7, Ozzy, Wilco, meet the "Candyman"
Super No. 7 fans will get their last chance to see their favorite band in action for awhile when they play Billies at the Avalon Hotel tonight.
The band -- which will play unplugged -- will concentrate on finishing its next CD, which it's recording in Cleveland. They likely won't play out again for awhile.
For tonight's show, Super No. 7 will be joined by special guests Al Donati of Years from Yesterday, and keyboard player Trevor Huster.
Both Super No. 7 and Huster came up big at the RockErie Music Awards. Super No. 7 won for favorite rock band, and Huster -- who did a great job running the house band -- won for favorite keyboard player.

Tullio Arena on late Friday announced a new show -- Christian superstar Michael W. Smith with the Erie Philharmonic on Dec. 2.
They'll present "It's a A Wonderful Christmas" show at the Tullio Arena, with guest stars the Katinas and former "American Idol" contestant Melinda Doolitte.
Ticket prices were not disclosed but tickets will go on sale Sept. 17.
Wilco added an Oct. 19 concert at Pittsburgh's A.J. Palumbo Center. Tickets go on sale Saturday.
Also, Pollstar announced Friday that Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie will tour together this winter. Area dates include Dec. 20 at Pittsburgh's Mellon Arena, and Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena -- the last show -- on Jan. 24. Some shows will go on sale as early as Sept. 14; stay tuned for details.
Actor Tony Todd, who starred in "Candyman," will meet area fans at Millcreek Mall on Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. Then, he'll attend a screening of his film "Shadow Puppets" on Saturday at 8 p.m .at the Bayfront Convention Center. Tickets are $5 at the door, or in advance at the mall. Todd met with Erie officials on Friday about shooting "Eerie, Pa" -- a screenplay set in Erie -- here, perhaps as early as next spring.
Erie's WCTL-FM (106.3) is bringing Phillips, Craig & Dean to First Assembly of God, as part of the church's 40th birthday celebration. The concert is set for Oct. 4 at the church. WCTL will also hold its annual Fall 2007 Sharathon during that week, from Oct. 1-3.
Buddy Holly fans are in there glory these days, and not just because Matty B and the Dirty Pickles are starring in "Buddy Holly: The Day the Music Died" at the Roadhouse Theatre.
Brian Best, one of the the best Holly tribute performers in the U.S., will soon return to the area for a pair of show as Hollydaze. He'll perform at the Albion Area Fair on Sept. 15 at 4 p.m.
Best will also perform at a September to Remember concert on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Wattsburg Erie County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $10 per person, or $18 per couple, which includes food and pop. Call 725-2606 or (814) 739-2116 for tickets.

Reminder: Tickets went on sale today for Pat Monahan's Oct. 20 at House of Blues. He'll concentrate on songs from his fothcoming solo CD, "Last of Seven," due out Sept. 18. But he will do a few Train songs, too. Look for an interview with Pat in the Erie Times-News on Sept. 17.
Cedar Point has won Amusement Today's highest honor -- the Golden Ticket for Best Amusement Park in the World -- for a record 10th straight year. The park's fantastic new Maverick roller coaster also won the award for Best New Ride of 2007. And in the magazine's annual ranking of Top 10 steel coasters, Millennium Force finished No. 2, whilie Magnum XL-200 came in No. 5, and Top Thrill Dragster finished No. 9.
