Radiohead confirms North American tour

Radiohead has confirmed it will launch a two-prong North American tour, with dates sandwiched around its summer European tour.
The band will visit just 22 cities. No dates or venues have been announced, but Radiohead did list the cities it will visit. The only area cities on the itinerary will be Cleveland and Toronto.
"In Rainbows" will debut at No. 1 on Billboard's album chart, after selling more than 122,000 copies, the magazine reported Wednesday. That total is a far cry from the 300,000 for "Hail to the Chief," but remember -- Radiohead released it digitally in October, and plenty of fans already have a copy on their iPods.

Swedish garage-rockers the Hives are also touring the U.S. this spring. They'll visit Cleveland's Agora Theatre on March 2 with special guest the Donnas. Tickets will go on sale Friday, Jan. 11 at TIcketmaster. Better hurry. With their terrific live reputation, they're sure to sell out quickly.

In other late-arriving concert news, Carrie Underwood and Josh Turner will play Pittsburgh's Petersen Events Center (at Pitt) on Feb. 22. Those tickets go on sale Saturday, Jan. 12 at Ticketmaster.
Also, the English Beat visit Pittsburgh's Rex Theatre on Feb. 23. Those tickets go on sale Jan. 11.

Rolling Stone reports the Rolling Stones' concert film "Shine a Light," directed by Martin Scorcese, will be released on April 4.
