Late Friday, Chautauqua Institution disclosed that Boz Scaggs will opens it 2008 amphitheater season. He'll perform on June 21. Scaggs got his start years ago with the Steve Miller Band.
Tickets will go on sale April 1.
Look for Jethro Tull to celebrate its 40th anniverary with a fall U.S. tour. A few dates have leaked but there's nothing around here, yet. It'd be cool to see them back at the Warner -- or, better yet, on the CelebrateErie stage for free.
Crawford County Fair had hoped to announced its second country headliner this month. Look, instead, for the announcement on March 17.
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss unveiled the rest of their U.S. itinerary. Apparently, they forgot about our area. You won't find Buffalo, Pittsburgh, or Cleveland on the list of cities they'll play, let alone Erie.
Billboard reports another huge multi-continent concert, similar to Live Earth, is being planned for May. This one is sponsored by World Peace One, a peace advocacy group which claims it's negotiating with major names including Led Zeppelin, Madonna, U2, and Aerosmith.
We'll see who they actually land.
With the writers strike over, Saturday Night Live finally returns tomorrow with guest host Tina Fey and musical guest Carrie Underwood. "Juno" star Ellen Page will host on March 1. No musical guest has been announced yet but wouldn't Kimya Dawson, who sings on the "Juno" soundtrack, be a natural?
