Dates are out for LInkin Park's Projekt Revolution tour. It will stop at Post-Gazette Pavilion near Pittsburgh on July 18 and Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga, Falls, Ohio on Aug. 19.
Tickets for select dates go on sale April 11. Check Thursday's Showcase to see if the Blossom and PG shows will go up then, as well.
One day after listing a date for jazz singer Diane Schuur at Presque Isle Downs & Casino for Aug. 15, Pollstar removed it. In its place: a show with Sha Na Na for Aug. 15. That one makes sense. Ted Arneault, the chairman of MTR Gaming Group, had mentioned the casino was considering Sha Na Na for it summer series during a press conference in late February.
A big comedy show takes place next weekend iin Erie. The Three Poles Walk Into a Bar Comedy Tour will open its national swing April 11-12 at the Erie Playhouse.
Bob "The Polish Madman" Golub has not only appeared in top clubs around the country but several films, including "Goodfellas." Diane NIchols has appeared on "The Tonight Show" with both Johnny Carson and Jay Leno, as well as on "Late Show with David Letterman." Then there's Michael Stankiewicz -- an Erie native, who also tours nationally and rarely performs in his hometown.
Playing up the "Polish" part of the show, look for live music, too, by Grammy-nominated perfomer Kevin Solecki, as well as free samples of Polish food, including pierogis and kielbasa.
Tickets are $20, plus tax. That's a pretty good deal, considering this show essentially features three headliners. They're on sale at the Playhouse box office, 454-2852. This show features R-rated language.
