Dead show confirmed; on sale Friday

This just in: The Pennsylvania Campaign for Change has announced the Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers will play a concert fundraiser for the Obama for America campaign on Oct. 13 at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are $50 for the general public, and $30 for Penn State students. They will go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster, or the link to Ticketmaster at www.barackobama.com/psu.

The event promoter is not billing this as a Dead/Allman Brothers' show. Instead, it simply lists the names of performers: Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart; plus Gregg Allman, Butch Trucks, Jaimoe, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Marc Quinones, Oteil Bubridge, and Jeff Chimenti.l

That sounds like the Dead and Allman Brothers to me.
