Eddie Vedder: Cubs fan

Turns out Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder is such a Cubs' fan, he's written a song about the team and their magical season.
Billboard magazine reports Vedder wrote "All the Way" at the request of Ernie Banks. He played at a solo show in Chicago but has now recorded it and will make it available soon on line. Chicago radio stations are already playing it.
Speaking as a Cubs' AND Pearl Jam fan, this is highly cool. Though I haven't heard it yet, "All the Way" is bound to be tons better than the horrible Cubs' jingles that have been inflicted on us over the years.

Billboard reports 50 Cent will release "Before I Self Destruct" on Dec. 9 -- just one week in advance of Kanye West's latest, "808's and Heartbreaks." Remember all the hype about their last showdown at the record stores? West outsold 50 Cent, so maybe that's why 50 Cent is jumping the gun by a week this time.

Also, according to Billboard, Ryan Adams the Cardinals will issue a new CD, "Cardinology" on Oct. 28. It's the follow up to "Easy Tiger" -- which was one of Adams' better recent CDs.
