Major concert for Erie to be announced on Friday

Heads up!

Erie rock radio stations will announce a major concert for Tullio Arena on Friday at 6 a.m.
We've heard rumors who will it be and Internet surfing seems to confirm our suspicions.

Most likely -- and again, this is not confirmed -- it will be Motley Crue. The Crue are scheduled to release the 2009 itinerary for their "Saints of Los Angeles" tour on Friday morning. Other sites have said it appears that Hinder will be the opening act for that tour, which will include an Erie date -- most likely in early March.

Listen to Rocket and Z-102 for more details tomorrow or check back on Dr. Rock's blog. The Crue last played Erie on their reunion tour in March 2006, drawing a near sellout crowd of 5,200.
