T.I. to Penn State; Springsteen song to debut

Red-hot hip-hop star T.I. will perform at Penn State University's Bryce Jordan Center on Dec. 7 in State College. Tickets go on sale Tuesday at Ticketmaster outlets. Kardinal Offishall will open.

Bruce Springsteen will debut a new song, "Workin' on a Dream," during halftime of Sunday night's Washington/Dallas game. According to Rolling Stone, this is the studio version of the song Springsteen unveiled during a mini concert in support of Barack Obama in Cleveland. Backstreets.com reports it'll be included on a new Springsteen CD that'll be released around the time of Obama's inauguration in January.

Lady Antebellum won the CMA award for Best New Artist on Wednesday. They open for Jason Aldean on Saturday at the Warner Theatre. Kenny Chesney scored his fourth Entertainer of the Year Award, while Robert Plant and Alison Krauss shared the Vocal Event of the Year award. George Strait took both album and single of the year honors.

Billboard reports Elton John and Billy Joel will team up again for tour in 2009, while the Faces with Rod Stewart are also reportedly mulling a reunion tour for next year.
