Britney on way to Pittsburgh; Grammy noms out

Britney Spears brings her "Circus" tour to Pittsburgh's Mellon Arena on March 27. Tickets will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster outlets, and by phone at 456-7070.

This is the only area date posted so far for Spears.

Lil Wayne scored the most Grammy nominations with eight on Wednesday, followed by Coldplay with seven. Album of the Year competition figures to be a showdown between Wayne and Coldplay's "Vida La Vida," though the dark horse is probably "Raising Sand," the beloved Robert Plant and Alison Krauss collaboration.
Krauss is a Grammy darling, while Grammy can also give Led Zep a backhanded salute, as well, by honoring Plant. Wouldn't surprise me to see that actually win.
I'm surprised R.E.M. was overlooked for "Accelerate;" it didn't get a whiff of a nomination in alternative or rock categories. But it's cool to see Kings of Leon and the Raconteurs both score nods in the Best Rock Album category.
