Cool news for Flaming Lips' fans.
The psychedelic, alternative band from Oklahoma released an instant cult film "Christmas in Mars" last year. Edinboro University plans to screen the film on Feb. 19 with Bradley Beesley, one of "Christmas in Mars" three directors, on hand to introduce it and talk about it.
Autographed posters and other items from the film will be available. There's a good chance another special guest will be added but it won't be one of the Lips. The band is currently recording a new album.
Stay tuned for more info on show times and that guest.

Pollstar lists Erie dates for 2 big comedians: Jerry Seinfeld (Feb. 19) and Lewis Black (March 29).
Black's web site says tickets will go on sale Jan. 16. Seinfield will likely go on sale next weekend, sometime after the Jan. 15 Rodney Carrington show. But those details are not set yet. Keep an eye in Showcase for more details.
This will be Seinfeld's third appearance in Erie. He's still a master of his comedy domain.
