New U2 single out; Fleetwood Mac to Cleveland

U2 released new single "Get Out Your Boots" from its forthcoming "No Line on the Horizon" to radio stations and the Internet today.
Fans can stream the single at www.u2.com. It's a bottom-heavy, thrilling rocker with some neat electronic elements, yet highly danceable, too. Vintage U2, in other words, and it bodes well for the new CD which will be backed by a world tour.

Fleetwood Mac has added a Cleveland show at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland on April 17, which is a Friday night. Tickets go on sale Jan. 26 at Ticketmaster.

Billboard reports Booker T. Jones, long-time leader of the great Booker T. and the MGs, will resurface with a new CD in April. Even better: Neil Young plays guitar on all but one cut, while his backing band is the Drive-By Truckers. How can this not be killer?

Speaking of killer, the Killers are also headed to Cleveland. They'll play the Time Cable Amphtiheater at Tower City on May 6. Tickets go on sale Jan. 24.

Lest we forget, a couple Erie shows also go on sale this weekend. Jerry Seinfeld is back on Feb. 19 at the Warner; those tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 23. And the reunited New Kids on the Block will play Tullio Arena on March 22. Those tickets ($65, $47.50, $27.50) will go on sale Jan. 24 and figure to be scooped up quickly. NKOTB did pretty well on their first reunion swing last fall, including a sold-out show at Quicken Loans Arena.
