SeaWolves' offense not a problem

— Entering Friday’s home game against Altoona, the SeaWolves were leading the league with 34 stolen bases, 127 runs and 22 homers.
Erie hit at least one homer in 15 of its first 20 games. The SeaWolves are 1-4 in games they have not homered in.

— Toledo right-hander and former SeaWolves starter Eddie Bonine improved to 4-0 with the Triple-A Mud Hens in Thursday’s 7-3 win at Columbus. Bonine scattered seven hits and gave up two runs over seven innings, lowering his ERA to 2.73.
He’s thrown 26 1/3 innings in his four starts and has given up 23 hits and eight earned runs with 12 strikeouts and five walks.

— Lakeland right-hander Rick Porcello, 19, the Tigers’ No. 1 draft pick last season, is 1-4 with a 2.13 ERA in his first five starts for the high Single-A team.
Porcello has allowed 11 runs, but only six earned runs, and 17 hits over 25 1/3 innings. He has 20 strikeouts and six walks.
Porcello lost his most recent outing on Wednesday, pitching 5 1/3 innings and allowing three runs and four hits in a 3-1 loss to Dunedin.
