Erie notes: The SeaWolves ended a miserable seven-game homestand on Sunday with an 0-7 record, losing 7-6 to the Harrisburg Senators at Jerry Uht Park. … Harrisburg’s three-game weekend sweep of Erie followed a four-game sweep of the SeaWolves by the Trenton Thunder. … Erie has lost 11 of its past 12 games and begins this series in fifth place in the Southern Division, eight games behind first-place Harrisburg. … The SeaWolves are 1-10 in May and haven’t won since a 9-2 win at Altoona on May 4 in the second game of a doubleheader. … The SeaWolves have lost four straight series and eight of 11 series this season. … Erie’s last series win came April 24-27, when the SeaWolves won three of four games from Altoona at Uht Park. … Marte will be making his Double-A debut on Wednesday after being promoted to Erie from Single-A Lakeland on Saturday. Marte was 3-2 with a 1.98 ERA in seven starts with Lakeland. … French is coming off of an outstanding start in which he allowed one run over eight innings on Friday in Erie’s 4-3 home loss to Harrisburg. French did not figure in the decision.

Bowie notes: The SeaWolves are 5-2 against Bowie this season, thanks to a season-opening four-game sweep at Prince George’s Stadium April 4-6. … Bowie defeated Erie twice during a three-game series at Uht Park April 14-16 on Erie’s opening homestand. … Bowie is second in the Southern Divison, 3 ½ games behind Harrisburg. … Outfielder Nolan Reimold, a Greenville native, is hitting .254 (35-for-138) with four homers and 12 RBIs in 37 games. Reimold had a 10-game hitting streak from April 18-29 and had a solo homer in Sunday’s 3-1 win at Portland. He was sidelined for most of the 2007 season because of a strained oblique, appearing in just 50 games with the Baysox. … Hernandez struck out 11 in five innings against New Hampshire on April 26. He led the Carolina League in strikeouts last season with 168. … The Baysox lost their most effective starter May 5, when left-hander Chris Waters was promoted to Triple-A Norfolk. Waters was 5-0 with a 1.69 ERA in six starts with Bowie before his promotion. … The Baysox are 10-7 at home and 10-11 against Southern Division opponents. … The U.S. Women’s Olympic softball team defeated the Washington Glory 2-0 on Saturday in an exhibition game at Prince George’s Stadium before a non-Olympic record crowd of 8,724.
