-- SeaWolves right fielder Deik Scram and first baseman Max Leon collided in the second inning of Thursday's game against the Trenton Thunder while attempting to catch a foul flyball down the right-field line.
After colliding with Leon, Scram stumbled and hit his head on one of the wooden advertisement boards along the right-field grandstand. Scram was not injured and remained in the game.
"It was a good break that I hit the wooden board and not the metal railing above it," Scram said. "I landed on my right arm and I got like a little stinger in my elbow. It's all right. When I hit Max, I rolled off him and there happened to be a wall there."
-- Erie center fielder Justin Justice made his Double-A debut on Thursday and went 0-for-3. Hitting fifth in the order, Justice walked in his first at-bat and scored in the second inning. He was retired on a flyout to center in the fourth and a flyout to left in the sixth. He took a called third strike to end the eighth.
Justice was promoted to the SeaWolves on Tuesday from Single-A Lakeland.
-- Outfielder Freddy Guzman, promoted to Triple-A Toledo from the SeaWolves on Tuesday, went 1-for-5 in the Mud Hens' 7-6 home win over Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.
Guzman hit leadoff and was the designated hitter.
