Erie SeaWolves left-hander Danny Christensen is 4-0 with a no-decision in his last five starts. He was selected the Eastern League pitcher of the week on Monday.

Connecticut Defenders outfielder Antoan Richardson headed into Tuesday’s play leading the Eastern League with 22 stolen bases. …Right-hander Joey Martinez lowered his ERA to a league-low 1.90 with five scoreless innings against Trenton last week. … Connecticut’s pitching staff threw three shutouts last week to lower its team ERA 3.36.

Reading Phillies outfielder Michael Spidale had hit safely in 15 of his last 16 games entering the club’s game on Tuesday. … Left-hander Antonio Bastardo has allowed just one earned run in his last three starts. On Tuesday, he ranked fourth among all minor league pitchers with 86 strikeouts. … Catcher Lou Marson has hit safely in 45 of the 56 games he’s played in this season.

Harrisburg right-hander Adrian Alaniz threw six shutout innings against the Bowie Baysox on Saturday in his Double-A debut. He was promoted to the Senators from Single-A Potomac, where he was 9-0. … Harrisburg outfielder Roger Bernadina recorded an assist in three straight games last week.

Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Chris Duffy is serving a major league rehabilitation assignment with the Altoona Curve. Duffy had left shoulder surgery last August and has not played for the Pirates this season.

The Trenton Thunder recently welcomed their six millionth fan in the franchise’s 15-year history in a game against the Connecticut Defenders at Waterfront Park.
