-- New Hampshire notes: Managed by Gary Cathcart, the Fisher Cats make their lone appearance at Jerry Uht Park. The Toronto Blue Jays affiliate enters the weekend series last in the Eastern League's North Division. … New Hampshire lost six of its last seven games prior to Thursday's contest at Akron. The Fisher Cats' lone victory in that stretch was Sunday, when they beat Erie 5-2 at Manchester, N.H. Outfielder Aaron Mathews had the big hit with a three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. … Second baseman Scott Campbell ranks among the league's top five for hits (76) and batting average (.358) Mathews is second on the team with a (.293) average. … New Hampshire will host the 2008 Eastern League All Star Game on July 16. The best players from the North Division will take on the best from the South at 7:05 p.m.

-- Erie notes: The SeaWolves won two of three over the Fisher Cats when the teams met in New England last weekend. Erie won the first two games by scores of 9-4 and 3-1, then lost 5-2. Six different players hit home runs for the 'Wolves over the series. … Erie beat the Portland SeaDogs two out of three games in their series that concluded Thursday at Uht Park. The teams split their six-game season series. … Kown (4-6) was the winning pitcher for Erie's 3-1 victory at New Hampshire on Saturday. The right-hander allowed seven hits, but held the Fisher Cats scoreless for 7 2/3innings. … After Sunday, the 'Wolves embark on their longest road trip of the season. Erie is off Monday, then begins a 10-day trek to Binghamton, Harrisburg and Trenton. The 'Wolves won't return to Uht Park until June 27, when they open a three-game series vs. Harrisburg.
