New Hampshire’s collective earned run average was 5.72 before the first pitch Friday at Uht Park. Erie’s ERA was 4.66, eighth in the league.
-- Right-handed reliever Angel Castro has been sent back to Class A Lakeland. In six games for Erie, Castro was 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA and one save.
Castro began the season with Lakeland, where he was 2-1 with a 2.42 ERA and four saves.
-- The ‘Wolves will hold their second fireworks night of the season after Saturday’s game against New Hampshire. The first 2,000 fans will receive a free miniature American flag.
Erie also has fireworks scheduled after its games on July 3 (vs. Akron), July 26 (vs. Bowie), Aug. 16 (vs. Connecticut) and Aug. 30 (vs. Akron).
