Erie's current six-game road trip, which started Tuesday, began a stretch of 15 straight games against Northern Division opponents. … The SeaWolves are 3-10 against Northern Division opponents after Thursday's 3-1 loss at Portland. … Erie is 14-18 on the road and 10-18 at home. … First baseman Ryan Roberson was promoted to Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday. … Right-hander Josh Rainwater returned to the starting rotation on Saturday after a three-week layoff and earned the win in an 8-3 decision over Altoona in the opener of a doubleheader. Rainwater threw five innings, allowing three runs in his first start in three weeks. He suffered an oblique strain against Trenton on May 8 and spent nearly three weeks on the disabled list. … Left-hander Jon Connolly is a combined 0-8 between Triple-A Toledo and Erie this season. He began the season with the SeaWolves, but after two starts was promoted to Toledo in mid-April. With the Mud Hens, he went 0-3 with a 5.06 ERA in four starts before rejoining Erie. … Utility player Max Leon continues to rank near the top of the league in on-base percentage. He entered Thursday's game with a .435 percentage, the fourth-highest in the league. … After completing their three-game series at New Hampshire on Sunday, the SeaWolves are off on Monday, then begin a six-game homestand Tuesday, hosting Portland at 7:05 p.m. in the opener of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park.

The Fisher Cats are in last place in the North Division, 16 games behind the first-place Trenton Thunder. … New Hampshire has been competitive at home (15-16), but its 7-21 road record is the worst in the league. … New Hampshire set a franchise record last week for the longest nine-inning game (4 hours, 9 minutes) in a 15-10 home loss to Portland. … The Fisher Cats are the host team for this summer's Eastern League All-Star Game on July 16. … Outfielder Ryan Patterson was named the Eastern League player of the week on Monday for his performance last week, when he hit .448 (13-for-29) with five homers, 10 RBIs , one double, six runs scored and four walks. Patterson is the Toronto Blue Jays' 10th-ranked prospect, according to Baseball America. … Outfielder Travis Snider is rated by Baseball America as Toronto's top prospect. The Blue Jays selected Snider in the first round of the 2006 draft. He was a midseason and postseason Midwest League All-Star last season with Lansing, hitting .313 with 16 homers and 93 RBIs. Snider was promoted to New Hampshire on April 21 from advanced Single-A Dunedin. … Snider left New Hampshire's game on Sunday after being hit in his helmet by a foul ball while he was standing in the on-deck circle. … Right-hander Scott Richmond was New Hampshire's opening-day starter. He pitched for Canada in the IBAF World Cup and Olympic qualifying in 2007-08. … Right-hander Sean Stidfole was a 14th-round draft pick by Toronto in 2005 out of Penn State. … Right-hander Jamie Vermilyea threw a perfect game in his first Eastern League start on June 28, 2004, in the second game of a doubleheader against New Britain. … First baseman Josh Kreuzer was the Florida State League most valuable player with Dunedin last season after hitting .309 with 20 homers and 71 RBIs. … Second baseman Scott Campbell is the first New Zealand native to be selected in the Major League Baseball amateur draft.
