Erie catcher Ryan gets EL home run derby selection

You can bet SeaWolves catcher Dusty Ryan won't get cheated on any of his hacks when he participates in Wednesday’s EL All-Star Home Run Derby in Manchester, N.H.
Ryan is one of six league players selected to participate in the home run derby.
The home run derby will feature three Southern Division and three Northern Division all-stars. Ryan, Bowie outfielder Lou Montanez and Bowie third baseman Jeff Nettles will represent the Southern Division.
Northern Division participants are New Hampshire Fisher Cats outfielder Travis Snider, New Britain Rock Cats third baseman Luke Hughes and Binghamton Mets first baseman Nick Evans.
The home run derby precedes the EL All-Star Game between the Southern Division and Northern Division.
Ryan, who leads the SeaWolves with 14 homers, is among four Erie players selected to the Southern Division All-Star team, along with closer Casey Fien, first baseman Ryan Roberson and left fielder Wilkin Ramirez.
