Former SeaWolve Clevlen makes Triple-A All-Star Game

Toledo Mud Hens outfielder Brent Clevlen, third baseman Mike Hessman and pitcher Blaine Neal were selected to the International League team for Wednesday’s Triple-A All-Star Game against the Pacific Coast League in Louisville, Ky.
Clevlen, a former Erie SeaWolves player, had an outstanding first half for the Mud Hens, highlighted by an International League-high 44-game on-base streak from April 20 through June 21. During that stretch, Clevlen batted .358 (57-for-159) with 12 homers, 49 RBIs and 31 runs scored.
Clevlen is hitting .300 with 14 homers and 62 RBIs in 80 games, and is tied for third in the International League in RBIs.
Hessman on Saturday was leading the league with 29 homers and was tied for fifth in RBIs with 61.
Neal (1-0, 1.39), a 30-year-old right-hander, leads the IL with 23 saves. He was a perfect 17-for-17 in save opportunities to start the season and did not allow a run in his first nine games.
