I wrote a Good Morning column that ran in today's paper about my Grandma Bray. She was 100 years old when she died on Wednesday. They are buring her in Williamsport, Pa. as I type. She was an incredible woman -- such a perfect Grandma -- beautiful is SO many ways. You can read my tribute to her (and past Good Morning columns) at http://www.goerie.com/goodmorning.
Here's a photo of the day I talk about in the column (I wasn't lying about Grandpa's outfit!):

I love Good Morning columns -- I love reading them and I love writing them. There are some writers on staff who have never written a Good Morning (as the tagline says: "Where Erie Times-News writers share their personal stories") because well, they don't want to share their personal stories.
This blog is sort of like a daily Good Morning column -- only I can use slang and questionable language and grammar :-). I love to write this blog, but I know that I probably share far too much personal information with all of you. Honestly, if you read this regularly, you probably know more about me than my some of my family members do.
It's odd, really, because I tend to be a pretty private person. I am not a hugger and I don't like huggers much (though there are a select few in my life that I happen to love and willingly hug on sight -- like my dear David), but I'm big on personal space and alone time. I have no problem (and in fact, prefer, to shop alone, eat alone and run alone (most of the time anyway).
And, yet, if you give me a forum to tell the whole world about my life, I start yammering like chatty Cathy.
Sometimes even I can't figure me out.
