Which '08 presidential candidate shares the sames views as you? Find out here
(Former Erie Times-News reporter, Peter Panepento, posted a link to this quiz -- designed by former CyberInk designer, Sarah Sampsel -- on his Outside Erie blog).
Warning: It's long (25 questions) -- so it's going to take you at least 1/2 hour if you read all the responses.
The cool thing? You are choosing a candidate based on their views and platforms because you don't see who said what (you can turn that feature on, but I'd suggest you don't and find out which candidates views you really support...and not just who you hope wins).
I took the quiz, and the results confirmed that my top 2 candidates are indeed the 2 whose views and policies I agree with most.
I actually found the quiz very exciting. Just reading about what could be gave me hope for the future. Health care reform, troops coming home, putting an end to all the tax cuts for the wealthy, nationwide pre-K education, ending our dependence on foreign oil, helping parents send their kids to college, forcing gun makers to make guns child-proof...it's just so exciting to think of what this country could be.
I want that. I want a new America. I want my government to save the middle class -- we are bearing the burdens of this economy. I want them to protect my rights as woman and a mother. I want them to use my tax dollars to feed the hungry - not line the pockets of the rich. I want them to force manufacturers to keep my children safe. I want peace.
After the great sucker punch of election '04, I said that '08 could not come soon enough. And, now it's here and I am filled with hope again.
