Three things I'm loving this week:
1. Winter sunshine. Is there anything better than having the chance to wear sunglasses in Erie in February? Even if it is to shield your eyes from the glare of the sun bouncing off a freshly-fallen 8 inches of glittering white (freezing cold) snow.
2. Hump days. It's the only night of the work week I don't have something I have to do or some where I have to be after work.
3. Preschool politics. My 4-year-old came home from preschool on Monday (President's Day) all excited to tell me. "Hey...hey, mom...guess what? There's a white man, a black man and a woman running for president!" I asked her who she thought should win. She said, "Well, the mommy, of course. Mommies are always in charge." Ah...you've learned well my little grasshopper.
Three things I'm NOT loving this week:
1. Toxic waste in Presque Isle Bay. This is terrifying. Prepare to pick your jaw up off the keyboard.
2. The 99-cent-for-any-size-cup coffee deal is over at Giant Eagle. I knew it couldn't last. It was a ploy, a temporary price cut to get us hooked (it worked on me). Today my extra-large coffee was $1.37 -- which is a far cry from the $4 people pay for a Starbucks, I know, but will still greatly reduce my Market District coffee consumption.
3. Living magazine. I'm not sure why I subscribed to Martha Stewart's signature magazine because Martha Stewart, I am not. I don't like to cook. I don't like to craft. I don't like to decorate. I don't like to fuss with stuff. Oh...wait...I remember why I subscribed...they were giving away a free canvas tote bag. And I am nothing if not a bag freak.

You're number one thing you're loving was very poetic, "Even if it is to shield your eyes from the glare of the sun bouncing off a freshly-fallen 8 inches of glittering white (freezing cold) snow." You should be a writer! LOL!
You've trained your little grasshopper well, Mr. Miagee, next you should explain the significance of "Wax on, wax off."
Starbucks coffee is ICKY! Rock on with the Giant Eagle-ness!
