I happened to catch the Diane Sawyer interview with Randy Pausch last night.
If you haven't heard of Randy Pausch and his "Last Lecture"
This excerpt from Sunday's Parade magazine, sums it up:
"At many colleges, professors are asked to give a 'last lecture.' In this talk, they ruminate on what matters most to them. As they speak, audiences mull the same question: What wisdom would you impart to the world if you knew it was your last chance?" Randy Pausch discovered he had pancreatic cancer in the weeks leading up to his final lecture."
I cried through most of the interview, but completely lost it when he said that he cries when he thinks about leaving his family -- not because he's sad for himself and what he is going to miss out on, but because they will not have him. "Somebody is going to push my entire family off a cliff soon...and I'm not going to be there to catch them," Pausch said. "What I can do with my time now is to build some safety nets."
His book was released today. Borders has it in hardcover for $16. (sigh...another book I'll undoubtedly by for my "to read some day" pile).

Have you read Tuesday's with Morrie?
If you haven't, you should. It's a quick read.
