A historic election -- either way

So McCain picked a woman for VP. My initial reaction was, "he's a sly old dog," but...that would imply that he picked her only because she's a woman and I certainly don't think that's the case (I hope it's not the case).

Either way -- this will be a historic election.

Either way -- a minority will win.

Either way -- the two most visible leaders in our country will not both be white men.

Either way -- there's something to celebrate.

Mj Dillon:

I am so excited about McCain's pick of Sarah Palin. I visited Alaska this summer over the 4th of July and attended the parade in Juneau where Sarah was one of the Parade Marshalls as Alaska celebrated their 50th year of statehood. I have pictures of her and others on my cell phone where I caught her later holding Trig in the crowd at Douglas Island's after the parade festiviites. She was just being one of the folks. Alaskans just love her and she is squeaky clean. I think she is just what America is ready for and someone we can really believe. I also have a magazine from Alaska where Sarah Palin is on the front cover with the title "America's Hottest Governor". The article gives her whole story.
