Tuesdays are "I Tried It Tuesdays" where I'll tell you about something I recently tried -- an item, a movie, an activity, etc.
Today's topic: Grapes in salad
Are we talking fruit salad? No...I'm talking a green salad with fruit in it. Most workdays, I eat a green salad with grilled chicken (which I CHOKE down for the protein because I can't stand meat) and my fav new dressing, Kraft's Ceasar light.
Why grapes? It was an accident, really. Kinda like the whole "your chocolate is in my peanut butter thing." But, once I dumped them in there, I thought...well...OK...I have had strawberries and oranges in salad before...why not grapes?
What kind of grapes? The red sweet ones that are always sold in the grocery store. Seedless, of course.
The result? Loved it! They are crunchy and sweet and almost completely mask the taste of the chicken.
Would I recommend it? Highly. And, while you're at it, try strawberries, mandarin oranges and/or dried cranberries -- all highly recommended by my salad-loving friends.
