Three things I'm loving this week:
1. Another successful Her Times women's 5K. Last Saturday was the big event and the weather was fantastic. 411 women finished the 5K and close to 100 kids participated in the kid's races (following the 5K). You can read more about the race on my other blog -- Runner's Notes. The event went off without a hitch (or at least very minor hitches) thanks to the help of lots and lots of really great friends and volunteers.
2. Itty bitty kitty Molly. My mother -- who missed the pitter patter of little feet since my two went off to all-day school -- went and got herself a new baby. She's the luckiest little barn cat in Wattsburg since she just went from a life on the farm, living in a barn, chasing mice (and probably being run over by a horse or a tractor at some point) -- to the plush suburbs with two doting retirees who have all day to hold and play with her.

3. My dental office. When my dear old dentist Dr. Kern retired I bounced around from dental practice to dental practice. I just couldn't find one that was right for me. Then, I found Dr. Bell's office (on the recommendation of a girlfriend, of course) and I love it there. The girls in the office and the hygienists are great -- especially with kids. They are all really friendly and helpful. I really like Dr. Bell too and they now have an in-house orthodontist -- Dr. Dunlavey -- who straightened me out.
Things I'm not loving this week:
1. Running a full day behind. My "I tried it Tuesday" post was posted on Wednesday and now my "Three Things" Thursday post is being posted on Friday. Same thing that happened last week and the week before. If only that daylight savings fall-back gave us 24 hours instead of just 1 -- I'd be golden.
2. Looming deadlines. I have three major publications deadlining in a week and not much of a jump on any of them. Good thing we thrive on pressure in the news biz.
3. The election. I'm officially sick of all of it. 18 days...and counting....
